A long time ago we started as a small group, but that was a long time ago! The group is showing some healthy growth and we are getting some great new members to the site. This section is for members to introduce themselves. This is purely optional but a good way to get in the mix and find other A-Gamers playing the same games you are. Having said that I will start it off.
Hi my name is Sgt Cougar I am the owner and founder of A-Gamer.com but my credit ends there. Most everything you see on this site is usually with the help of one or more members. It takes a small team to keep this place classy! A-Gamer was started in January of 2009 when a group of disbanded adult gamers came together for an online forum and discussion. Since then we have grown for the better. We offer contest to win Xbox items, recently the group participated in a fundraiser and raised $299 for the Children’s Miracle Network. These are two small recent examples of the forward direction of the group.
This is a great group and site I enjoy. It’s member base is diverse. We have young adults all the way to grandfathers. The beauty is the different walks of life that come together for a shared interest. The dynamic can be very beneficial and I have formed several off line contacts because of the group.
When I am not Sgt Cougar online I am just a man born in 1977. I am married to my very beautiful wife who has been known to take the Xbox headset and talk for me when I lose my voice on Frag Night and I have two beautiful daughters who keep me in shape with Kinect Sports and Fruit Ninja. I have my day job that I support my family with and I have begun the adventure of starting my own business Streamlined Creations. Needless to say my gaming time is limited, so I find it best to share my time with a good group such as this.

Hello everyone! Well I’m Blood Envy and I’ve known Cougar for a good many years now. I’m a father of two children, a girl and a boy. I have an awesome wife who bought me my Xbox 360 on the release day where she sat in line at the Toys-R-Us in Santa Cruz at 3am when she was 7 months pregnant with our first child! She has supported my 360 habit since day one and I can’t believe I got that lucky finding her. I like to game quite a bit but most of it’s not online. I’m limited to the usage of an air card so I’m not online but maybe twice a week. I’m a huge fan of Halo, Mass Effect, Bioshock, CoD and Gears of War. I also enjoy reading and you’ll see that I submit quite a few of the book reviews on this site. Welcome to the site if you’re new and I can’t wait to talk with you on Live.
Mandalore reporting in. I’ve joined up at A-Gamer pretty close to inception. I will also describe my wife as awesome. She doesn’t share my video game enthusiasm, but she does love board, retro, and iPhone gaming. We have two kids. Our biological son was born last year, and (roughly the same time) we became the guardians of my wife’s 13-year-old brother. I’m online randomly throughout the week. I decided against picking up CoD or BF3, and I’m concentrating instead on the glut of single player games coming out. I enjoy pretty much everything besides sports games. Any game that is clever or tells a good story is a favorite (Mass Effect, Bioshock, Shadow of the Colossus, Limbo, Braid, etc.), but I like mindless fun too.
Hello everyone. I am The Stik Man, not to be confused with just any old stik man. I found out about A-gamer not to long ago when I saw SGT Cougar register at Lousy at Gaming where I lurk in the shoutbox. I am on the staff at Gaming for the Elderly. With some of my other free time, I take care of the web presence for my church.
I don’t know if my wife is awesome, but I kind of like having her around. (I also hope that she never reads this). I am 40 something now, getting older every day, with 2 high school age kids.
I have been gaming off and on since the Atari 2600, and now I play games on the xbox 360. Mostly shooters now since I seem to have grown away from rpg’s and racing games. The Gears of War series is probably my favorite.
SophicSwifty here. As a 90′s kid just hitting 21, gaming has been a part of me for a very long time now. Starting with Zelda on the NES, working through SNES, then the N64. I lost my love for Nintendo when they came out with the Gamecube. I don’t know why but I have never liked that system, just some of the games. I then started back with Playstation’s first console. I became a big fanboy of Microsoft’s Xbox and fell in love the with Halo. I grew a simple hatred for Sony, only because of rivalry. I have been an Xbox Fanboy since but have began to grow fond of the Playstation 3. I am more of a Multiplayer but I have begun to work threw many campaigns. I am a favorite of FPS, but enjoy other genres. I also read a lot and will begin putting out reviews for those as well. My gamertag and psn id are both SophicSwifty. Hit me up, I am easy to talk to.

Happy Holidays to all.
Well, I suppose I’ll go next! Been a gamer all my life ever since the days of the original Nintendo (some of the best games ever released still date back that far) and nowadays I spend my time playing the 360 and WAY too much Halo. Finally signed up for Xbox Live last night, so I’m sure I’ll see some of you guys online.
I recently got married to my high school sweetheart after six years and going through college together as well at the University of Montana in Missoula. We’ve only been married for a few months now but we’re well on our way with steady jobs at the moment and a house we’re closing on this month!! Moving in early January and can’t wait. I actually learned about this site through my work (Network Support) after I met “Blood Envy”. Looking forward to gaming with you guys!
My GamerTag is Sk1nn3r24. Not the most creative I realize but it’s my last name followed by the jersey number of my favorite basketball player. If any of you are into the NBA, shouldn’t be too hard to figure out. Add me and let’s play this weekend while the wife’s away in Seattle!
Welcome to the site Sk1nner! About time you showed up buddy!
Glad to be a part of it now boss, this is a pretty cool site! Can’t enter the challenge this go around though, too late unfortunately.
It’s great to see the ‘new’ folk joinin’ up and introducing themselves…Welcome Guys!
