For all of the fans of the Wild West; Rockstar is keeping RDR interesting and playable with longevity!
“Four packs of add-on downloadable content will be released for PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE over the next few months, starting with the ‘Legends and Killers’ Pack at the beginning of August and culminating with the Red Dead Redemption ‘Undead Nightmare’ Pack this fall. These packs follow the recent release of the Free ‘Outlaws to The End’ Co-Op Mission Pack, which is available now on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE.”

I saw this over at Joystiq. It’s nice to see that Rockstar is supporting the multiplayer. I saw one of them even had a patch to address griefing (hopefully that part is free).
Because this post is still front page material. I thought I’d add my RDR update…
I’m at 98.8% of my 100% achievement. Still need to clear five gang hide-outs in a 24 hour game time limit and win a Five Finger Fillet match; the gang hide-out challenge is very doable, no sweat, but that darn FFF game!
RDR has been the most interesting RGP to date, for me; it has been extremely enjoyable!
Now forward; Borderlands with Ishy and SprStgVanilla; SSV and I played about an hour of Borderlands yesterday; that kid is a gamer!
I plan to mix in a return to MW2 multiplayer along with a RDR co-op occasional visit, and then a full on committment to Alan Wake.
Wow. good job on the 98.8%! I’ll probably get there eventually. Five Finger Fillet is incredibly frustrating. It ranks pretty high as a “swearing at my TV” moment. It’s nice to know that I got one of the harder accomplishments out of the way. Make sure you win at that fort way up on the cliff in Mexico. It’ll complete an outfit that you also need for the 100%.
Yes Sir, at Torquemada or something like that. It’s a long, winding road into that place to only get my a$$ handed to me.
For me, it is the only hard requirement for the 100% achievement. A few of the others are very time consuming, but none of them are difficult to attain.
I’ve only tried FFF on two separate occasions and will leave it for my final task; and then and only then will I make a concentrated effort for a short time before I surrender and fully embrace the fact;
I am Not Worthy!
I’m happy to report; I did accomplish my 100% Achievement, yesterday!
Clearing the hide-outs in 24-hours of in-game time was as easy as I thought it would be and winning at Five Finger Fillet went much better than I had anticipated; I was beating myself by letting the pressure get to me.
Once I got into Torquemada, I was able to succeed after playing for about 15 or 20 minutes, which is longer than it should have taken, but I’m glad that is done!
Now, go back and clean-up a few more RDR Cheevos and then return to MW2 for a short run; KBR.
