I don’t know if any other a-gamers are into the flight genre games. Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2 game is released 09/07/10 for $49.99. The same release price of the original HAWX game. I owned, completed and enjoyed the original HAWX title.
It is a strong alternative to the ACE Combat series. Unlike ACE Combat that sets their story in the future with weapons to match the HAWX title stays close to present day. The graphics are amazing and the online action is highly addictive especially if you go in as a team. Online play has a leveling up xp system similar to Call of Duty.
I will be stopping by my local gamestop today to reserve this title…wanted to get the word out and see if anyone else is interested.

I only own the Xbox 360 system and love it. I look forward to the release of “Project: Natal” to include everything I liked about the Nintendo Wii on the system that I own now. I enjoy all types of games but seem to be in a FPS and RPG phase right now.

I haven’t tried a fight simulator since PC version Red Baron; years and years ago.
The genre has always looked interesting, but with all the other games available, I’ll probably stick with FPS & some RPG.
You don’t know what you are missing Gen. I think there is a demo you can download of the orginal HAWX if you want to give it a spin.
You are correct, Sgt.; there is a demo of HAWX; I just place it in my download queue.
Certainly can’t completely judge a genre without trying it….I know driving sims are not my style, I’ve tried NASCAR 2003 & Dirt; thumbs down on both.
Good deal. The Hawx demo is falirly decent. I remember the full game being better than the demo. Yea I have tried the Nascar games and they are too technical for me to enjoy. I think you have to be a certified mechanic to get the most out of some of those titles. You know I like the Forza Motorsport title because of the incredible level of detail. Plus you can make your settings as simple or complex as you desire when it comes to customizing and tuning your vehicle. At any rate, hope you enjoy the Hawx demo…let me know what you think.

I played, completed and enjoyed the original Hawx game so this should be quite good. Not going to rush out and get it but will definently pick it up at some point.
Yea I stopped by gamestop to pre-order and realized red dead still has dlc coming. Alan Wake will be delivered to my door step next Friday and I sill want to get and complete Mass Effect 2 besides practice for the halo race. I will pick up Hawx 2 in 6 months or so. Probably pick it up on sale for $39.99 or less.

@ Ro: relax I’m pretty sure I will get it well before you. If I recall you liked Ace Combat but never got the first Hawx game.
@ Cougar: i never did get the 1st Hawx cuz I had a couple of other new tittles at the time. I did see it for cheap ( the 1st one) at game stop recently maybe I’ll pick it up. Think it was around $14.
