Thanks Sgt….I paid full price and it is still just sitting on my gaming shelf collecting dust! Darn RDR!
If you paid $39.99, you also missed out. K-Mart has it on sale for $34.99 along with a few other games.

Just as Sgt Cougar; I opened my copy of Alan Wake this past week-end; it’s no page-turner.
But, it is entertaining.
The game is nothing like I have played, to date. While wearing my Turtle Beach head-set, I must admit, I have had a couple of chills run up the back of my neck, which is enjoyable from a video game.
The graphics are great and controlls easy to learn.
My only complaint is the number of different collectables the gamer must find to complete achievements.
It seems I am spending more time looking around (instead of immersing myself into the game) for coffee thermoses, TV’s to turn on, hidden chests to find, can pyramids to knock over, manuscript pages to find, radios to turn-on and find all the local culture and history…good grief. Plus the usual plethora of Taken to shoot with a gun, flare gun, or hit with a car….oh, then the Birds!!!!
I just finished chapter one and enjoy the game so far. The controls are a little loose, similar to Red Dead Redemption regarding camera control and responsiveness I prefer the games with the Call of Duty style precision, but I’m just being nit picky. Like I said, I just finished chapter one, and see I have missed at least one manuscript page. One of the collectible Gen commented on. I have no idea if I have missed any coffee thermoses and I hope Gen was kidding when he mentioned about knocking over can pyramids because I have not seen any of those. The collectibles are not bad, most stand out and it is not like finding all the feathers in Assassins Creed 2.
I really enjoy the clever use of Roy Orbison in the game soundtrack and look forward to working through the other chapters in the future. So far I’m pleased with my $39.99 purchase.
WOW Sgt. You have dazzled me again with your taste in music! I have been an Orby fan since I was 13 years old!
What an absolute delight to hear Orby’s, “In Dreams” kick-in early in the game!
You know Sgt, there are 100 freakin’ thermoses?!?!?!?!?!
I have not seen one pyramid of cans, yet, so I know I am already behind.
I paid full price and I am also pleased with the game.
Thanks Sgt, again, for your efforts on keeping the site interesting with the new face-lift.
