Kids aren’t listening on Fathers’ Day? Play God! Needless to say my three week old daughter and work has severely limited my Xbox 360 time. Thank goodness for my trusty sidearm (iPhone), mobile gaming has helped complete the desire of wasting time. One game I discovered last night that could be promising is GodFinger. Not only is it entertaining, but it is free. It is integrated with the Plus+ network which I am coming to enjoy on the iPhone; it allows me and friends to stay hooked up, similar to Xbox Live. Check out the developer’s game description:
Everyone gets the Finger.
Customize, cultivate and wreak havoc on your world with a tap of your finger. Perform an impressive array of Wonders to convert your planet’s inhabitants into devoted followers. Put your new followers to work – provide buildings, control the elements, and earn gold to continue leveling and customizing your planet.
OPEN-ENDED GAMEPLAY
Be a kind, caring god or a destructive demagogue. Level up and unlock new Wonders to perform on your followers and power their economy, including sun, rain, lightning, fire and flood.
WATCH YOUR WORLD
Every decision you make impacts the look of your planet. Use rain to grow a desert oasis, dense woods or lush rainforests. Use the sun to populate your world with exotic flowers. Activate powerful runes and your planet will expand – providing more land to shape.
GROW MORE POWER
Earn gold, perform Wonders and convert followers to gain experience. Level up to unlock powerful items, buildings and Wonders to perform on your followers.
BE A GOD AMONG FRIENDS
Invite your Plus+ friends into your world and get them to worship you. Give them a fright with your Wonders or turn them into powerful Mystics to earn cool bonuses. Send them gifts and postcards, and let everyone know what you’re up to through Facebook and Twitter updates.
Connection is required to play. OS 3.0 or above.

I saw you were playing it, and I tried it out for a bit. It reminds me too much of Farmville or similar games where I always have to check on it. It’s a fun idea, but I don’t want my games to be a chore that I have to check in with.
Also, gold rusts if you don’t collect it!? Sorry, Gold isn’t very reactive (if at all), and it certainly won’t rust. If you need to make up rules for me to keep playing the game, at least have them make a little sense.
So what your telling me is I have you again as an in game neighbor and you are no longer playing the game. You are bringing down my property value.
Pretty much. I’m the equivalent of a jack-ass that buys a house, never moves in, and just lets nature reclaim the whole thing while there are perfectly amnicured lawns on either side.
I’ll play people at Words With Friends though . . .
sounds like a viva pinata type of game. lol. perfect for u Cougar! lol.
