i don’t know about the rest of you, but this seems like an awfully busy 1st quarter. i think it’s partly due to the bomb activision dropped by changing mw2′s release date to 4th quarter last year, but there have been a lot of quality releases these past few months with more on the way. today, gonna try and grab ffxiii. i’ve heard great things about it. for those of you who don’t have ps3s, it might be worth noting that the xbox 360 version doesn’t run in 720p and is spread on three dvds. since i’ll be working on that version, i’ll try to have a review up within a week.
other than that, looking forward to god of war 3, alan wake, portal 2, and starcraft 2. also looking to get back into street fighter when super street fighter 4 comes out. oh, and dead rising. geez. i wish work started for me. gaming is going to be expensive this year.
Yeah, there’s a lot of good games to look forward to. You didn’t even mention Splinter Cell Conviction or Perfect Dark.
I think studios are going to start having a more spread out release schedule instead of just dumping on us during the winter months.
Besides the expense of trying to play all the good games; it becomes an issue if a gamer wants to be competitive in multi-player.
It takes constant practice to stay on top of a game (so to speak).
Like right now, I haven’t put MW2 in the 360 since last Saturday morning and I am feeling like I’m falling behind.
And, as our group is samll, we need to have one or two games in common, so we can get together for a game night…
Yes I know what you mean my list has formed for the year and it is already an issue of not enough time or money to go through all the games I want, as fast as I want. As of now this is my list.
1. Finish getting last few achievements on Assassins Creed 2 (Feathers and Glyphs)
2. Bio Shock 2
3. MW2: DLC
4. Final Fantasy XIII
5. Alan Wake
6. Borderlands DLC
Gen I believe most of us have Borderlands which would be a good game for game night. The downside is it limits 4 players to a room, but we could all party chat as we work through it. Also Ro and I continue our push for for Forza 3.
I kind of like this actually. I’ll buy a few “must haves” when they release, but I’ll be able to wait on the others until they’re much cheaper. It’s just hard to decide which ones to forgo right now. I think FFXIII is going to be one of them since when I play it won’t effect my enjoyment of it. Plus, I haven’t played a FF games since FFX-2.
