This morning, Sunday, around 6:30 CST, I bit the bullet and Prestiged in MW2.
I did complete Lvl 70 15 minutes earlier, but couldn’t bring myself to give up all those Perks and weapons.
But, after playin’ and not seeing any benefit from the points earned, except more Accoulades, I just went ahead & Prestiged.
Boy, starting all over at Lvl 1 is interesting to say the least; no Create a Class until Lvl 4 and then it is beginning again to get Red-Dot sight ,etc..
During my run to my first Prestige, I did manage to secure Mastery with the M4A1, SCAR, ACR, Aug-Hbar.
So, who else will take the plunge and Prestige?
I am married, live, and work in NE Iowa.
I am the patriach of a blended family of four (now) men (almost said kids) and have the joy of 6.5 grandkids. The newest is scheduled for a September arrival. Life is Grand!
To parrot Ishy, it is amazing to be able to forge great friendships with folks I've never met except thru Live and AGMR's!
I WILL DEFINATELY be flipping it over/prestige after I get to lvl 70. I’m gonna try and max out the Ak47 before I do though. I flipped over on MW1 6 or 7 times on the last one. I lost count. I’m currently on lvl 60 and working my way up. I’ll be there soon methinks.

Good job Gen, I guess I will eventually but for now I am having to much fun with the silent AK47. After about the 5th or 6th prestige on the first cod mw I told myself no more prestige. But I am soon to cave on the issue.
I didnt get into MW on-line until almost 16 months after its release; it didn’t go well, at all.
I did Prestige three times in W@W and currently at Lvl 43; don’t see myself returning to W@W because of the fun I’m having with MW2.
I knew the AK would be a great weapon, so I was not lured into using it, once I hit Lvl 70. I continued on with my Aug-Hbar, so there would not be the temptation to not Prestige and Master the AK-47.
Did you get anything besides an extra create a class slot when you flipped it?
This is the first CoD game I’ve played a lot of. It will be a while before I prestige. I am curious. What is the benefit of prestige-ing(?)?

Not really, just additional titles, emblems, and accolades…
That is why some gamers Prestige and others do not…it is all up to the gamer and who they are.
I need to have a goal, something to work toward, like acheivements; otherwise the game will sit on the shelf like all the others I own.
After Prestinging and starting over starting over; I am enjoying it more the second time than the first time.
I’m looking forward to getting the Mastery II emblem for the four guns I received Mastery during the first run. The emblem is acknowledgement of perserverence and not taking the comfortable route.
There is nothing wrong with not Prestiging, it is all just personal preference…mine is to Prestige and I am looking forward to doing it again and again for as long as the game holds my interest.
I just checked my time played in W@W against what I remember for time played in MW2.
I will have more time given to MW2 than W@W to gain the same Prestige and level. I quit W@W at Prestige 3, Lvl 43 when MW2 was released.
I know at some point in time when I make it to the deciding point I will opt to prestige and fip it. I would get board running around not having any of the XP count.

Ya, that’s what happened to me in 15/20 minutes, yesterday.
I participated in two matches and saw 0 points, crap…so, I Prestiged. At that point, it was more frustrating than boredom.
But, you’re right, Sgt., it would get boring without working towards that next aknowledgement of service to the MW2 god.
Well, I finally caved and prestiged. One thing I found that is kind of cool but I dont know why it is doing this. After 3 kill streak I get UAV,after 4 I get care package. I do not have those set on my kill streak rewards so after 5 I still get predator missle and after 7 harrier and after 11 chopper gunner. I only played about 3 matches after presiging so I do not know if it was some kind of glitching or if it is supposed to be that way.

No, it isn’t a glitch, it is supposed to be that way, Ty.
On the first four levels, all you get are the pre-made classes.
After Lvl 4, you start creating your custom classes, again and start unlocking killsreaks. I’m not sure when you start setting your own killstreaks.
Ok thanks Gen. I am level 8 unlocked create a class already and using my whole made class. It still is giving me extra killstreak rewards.
Maybe it is glitched….?
Weird. I have’nt tried it yet today maybe I was in some hacked lobby last night. I will let you know after I play later today.
I played today and my killstreak rewards are gone so I must have stumbled upon some kind of glitch last night or hacked lobby.
Not sure I want to start over. I know what you all mean by not having a goal. I just tell myself it is all about the kills and the weapon mastery. I am sure after a little longer I will kick it over. Not for any good reason just to say I did. Good job to all of you who have made it to the next level.
I am currently at 1st Prestige, Lvl 43. I have acquired my Veteran II with my M4A1 and now will be going after Mastery with the TAR-21. So, I have over 2K total kills with the M4A1.
I am really enjoying the TAR-21; Like always, there is a learning curve, for me, whenever I start with a new weapon.
It seems the iron sights are not as user friendly as they are with the M4A1 or the ACR.
So, I struggle thru as I am equipped with the launcher, silencer, etc. so I can acquire my 10000 point reward.
